New Delhi : Renault is all set to remove gear-stick from their trend-setting car Kwid. According to a report it has been learned that Renault Kwid Easy-R AMT version (Renault Kwid Automatic), set to launch on November 7, will ditch gear sticks.

The car comes with the ‘Shift Control Dial’ embedded below the HVAC swtiches, which will offer three driving modes – Reverse, Neutral and Drive. The in-built ‘Crawl’ function lets the car move forward and back without throttle input, much like a CVT.

The Kwid’s Easy-R AMT unit is a 5-speed gearbox. The feature will be available only in 1.0 litre version of the car. It is capable of pulling an average of 23.1 kmpl.

Renault will do soft launches in a week-long campaign as the car was already showcased at the Auto Expo 2016.

The first teaser for the car was released last week with a tag line “Get Ready to Change the Way you Drive”, suggesting they were ready for the launch.

This will be Renault’s second automatic car after Duster. (Also Read: Five things that makes Renault Kwid a winner)
