Maruti Suzuki cars get costly by up to Rs 8,000

New Delhi : Bad news for all those who are planning to buy new Maruti Suzuki cars in coming days, the company has hiked prices of its various models.

The hike in prices vary from Rs 1,500-Rs 8,014 (ex-showroom New Delhi) across various models.

"The new prices are effective from 27th January 2016," the company said in a statement.

The company also explained reasons behind the hike in prices.

"The hike in car prices is because of increase in commodity, transportation and administrative costs."
