Maruti Suzuki discontinues famous hatchback 'Ritz', spare parts to remain available

New Delhi : Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest carmaker, has decided to discontinue sale of its famous hatchback 'Ritz' both in domestic and international markets.

Ritz was launched in 2009 in both petrol and diesel variants. Maruti Suzuki sold nothing less than 4 lakh units of the car.

News agency Press Trust of India quoted one of the Maruti Suzuki officials, "as part of refreshing our product portfolio, we continuously review our portfolio and introduce new models."  

However, the company has maintained that spare parts of the car will be made available for next 10 years.
