New Delhi : Mumbai Police on Thursday issued a summon to TVF CEO Arunabh Kumar, booked under molestation charges, for his statement in the case.

Recently, actress Raveena Tondon had refused to promote her upcoming movie "Maatr - The Mother" on the digital platform.

"I was not aware of the controversy as I was in New York and in the middle of a snow storm," Raveena said in a statement.

"Our film deals with a very strong message about zero tolerance to any form of violence or abuse against women. The film's producers and actors feel that until allegations against the producer and the channel are proven wrong, we will refrain from promoting the film or any of the actors appearing on the said show," she added.

TVF is an online entertainment platform that satirises Indian politics, movies, life-style, and the social system.

A case was registered against Arunabh Kumar after a woman accused Kumar of sexual harassment.

It all started when a female 'staffer' under the pseudonym Indian Fowler posted a blog at medium.com, accusing Kumar of sexual advances at the workplace, and his several attempts to exploit her.

In the response section, another female employee shared her ordeal at TVF, saying that she "had to face a similar experience while working there. I felt exploited and cheated and I left my job under very bad circumstances".
