Los Angeles : In a shocking tragedy, a two-year-old girl died after she fell from her parents’ fourth-floor apartment in Kandivli (West).

The incident happened around 12.45 pm on Sunday when the girl recognized as Yashee Shah slipped through a gap in the railing of her bedroom window.

The family which stays at Jay apartments includes only Yashee’s father Manish, who is an electrician and her mother, who is a homemaker. 

Both Yashee’s parents and a neighbour were busy with household chores when the girl walked into the bedroom and started playing with the neighbour’s child.

She made her way to the railing and within no time fell from the gap where residents dry their clothes. The neighbour’s child then ran into the kitchen and told the girl’s mother. Even neighbours with the girl’s body rushed to inform her parents. 

As per Mukund Pawar, senior inspector at Kandivli police station, “The girl was rushed to a nursing home in Dahanukarwadi, where she was declared dead on arrival.”

The police have recorded the parents’ statements. They also spoke to the doctor of the private nursing home where the child was declared dead.Based on the results, they registered an accidental death report.
