Woman in Kerala cuts off genitals of a swami, her alleged rapist

Kollam : A 23-year-old law student in Kerala cuts off genitals of a swami, self-styled godman, for allegedly raping her for years. 

Famous as Hari Swami, the accused is a member of the Panmana Ashram in Kollam.

The girl was first assaulted by the Swami when she was just 16-year-old. She told police that Swami used to come to their house to meet her mother but whenever he got an opportunity he would allegedly rape her.

On Thursday night, the accused again showed up and tried to rape her. The girl chopped off his penis with a sharp instrument and immediately called cops.

The accused has been admitted to the Trivandrum Medical College, where doctors did a plastic surgery and said that his life is now out of danger.

The police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
