New Delhi : Now, get ready to get free condoms home delivered in India. It’s not a joke or fake news, the news is true. The AIDS Healthcare Foundation has started the initiative which is first of its own kind.

The initiative is taken to reduce AIDS cases in India as it stands third in the world. Request can be made on toll free number 1800 102 8102 or via an email to freecondomstoreahf@gmail.com for the free supply.

According to govt data, 2.1 million people are infected with HIV in India.

In India buying condoms is still a deep-rooted social taboo.  Even, the government also distributes condoms for free through its health centres but activists say stocks are often unavailable or of poor quality.

The AIDS programme in India was largely successful but in 2014 the Centre cut down the funds leaving the programme in jeopardy.

Last month, Parliament passed the HIV/AIDS (Prevention and Control) bill, 15 years after it was introduced in the legislature, to safeguard the rights of sufferers and protect them from discrimination.
