Chile : The Atacama desert in Chile, popular as world's driest desert has become a lovely 'purple' surprise following rains in the area.

The purple colour flowers bloomed and covered the land beautifully that it is hard to believe if this is the same piece of land known to be as the driest.

Though it’s completely natural and happens only once in five to seven years and is referred to as desierto florido or flowering desert.

The Atacama Desert is located in western Chile along the coastline of the Pacific Ocean stretching 966 kilometerss from Peru’s southern border.
