New Delhi :

The tussle between of Board Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and International Cricket Council (ICC), has taken a ugly spat after both are not ready to bow down. India’s participation in the Champions Trophy has taken a hit after the spat.

According to ICC, all the participating teams have to submit the squad before April 25 and BCCI is all set to miss it. According to sources, the BCCI will only announce the squad after the ICC meeting on April 27. The BCCI is not happy with the ICC’s new profit sharing as most of the revenue generates from India.

The BCCI is arm twisting the ICC continuously by threatening to pull out of the Champions Trophy fas per Members Participation Agreement (MPA) in case their demands are not met.

After India denied playing Pakistan in any bilateral series, the PCB has been relentlessly opposing the proposed money-sharing structure that ensures the BCCI gets a major share. If India pulls out of the tourney, it will be a huge blow to ICC as most of the revenue is generated due to India team participation.

India, Pakistan and England are the only teams who are yet to announce their squads.

Defending champions India will face New Zealand on May 28 and Bangladesh on May 30 in the warm-ups.
