New Delhi : Telecom tribunal says on May 3rd the hearing of the plea on offering free offers to Reliance Jio to continue beyond 90 days against the decision of TRAI will take place.

Apart from TRAI there are several private firms which claim that the Bharti Airtel has the fastest download speed in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Delhi and Mumbai. The difference between Airtel and Jio came to 3.92mbps of Airtel while Jio was at 11.5 mbps Airtel being the fastest.

 "We measured Airtel's average LTE download speed at 11.5 Mbps, which was 3 Mbps faster than the results we measured on its nearest rivals Vodafone and Idea", said OpenSignal which gathered recordings between December and February. 

Indian Telecom companies are mainly competing on the speed, the speed of India’s 4G is low. OpenSignal also said that Vodafone and O2 are quite improving but the speed of 4G is still low compared to 3G speed and services.

Airtel was also in the top in 3G services with an average speed of 6.2 Mbps, next is Vodafone with 5.1 Mbps.

According to the reports based on surveys by OpenSignal, which includes 535 million tests from more than 30,000 smart phones stated that average download speed on Reliance Jio is 16.48 Mbps in March while Idea Cellular at 8.33 Mbps and Bharti Airtel at 7.66 mbps. Idea was on the second place with 59.45%, Vodafone at 3rd with 59.05% and Airtel at 4th with 54.72%. Also West Bengal and Andaman Nicobar had the maximum no. of subscribers at 0.86 million in the month of March. And UP East Circle had the highest no. of subscribers at 75.10 million.
