All-new Ford EcoSport unveiled for European Markets

New Delhi : The all-new Ford EcoSport has been unveiled for the European Market with changes in both the exterior and interior of the car. With a whole new look, additional features and a lot of mechanical changes, the famous crossover will go on sale later this year.

The company has not revealed about the launch of new Ford EcoSport in the other markets.

This is the first Ford is offering an all-wheel drive in the latest model of EcoSport with an up gradation of a new 1.5-litre EcoBlue diesel engine developing 125bhp of power and 300Nm of torque.

With smart sensors of how much the car is gripping the road, torque comes with an ability to spread 50-50 across the front and rear wheels.

The 1.5-litre EcoBlue diesel model with front-wheel drive and a six-speed manual gearbox will offer even lower CO2 and better fuel efficiency than the outgoing car.

The car will also be launched with 1-litre EcoBoost petrol engine producing power up to 140bhp.

In terms of technological upliftment, the new Ford EcoSport will driver assistance technologies including SYNC 3 connectivity, cruise control with adjustable speed limiter and rear view camera as standard on certain trim levels.

The new EcoSport for Europe will be built at Ford's manufacturing facility in Craiova, Romania.
