DU Admissions 2018-19: Admission process to begin this month

New Delhi : Admission process for Delhi University academic session 2018-19 will begin by the third week of April. This was earlier scheduled to start from first week.

The authorities have also set up a single application process for admissions in various subjects. According to a senior official from Delhi University, candidates will now be able to apply for admissions in various subjects by a single portal.

To ease up admission process for candidates, few changes have been incorporated on the web portal with an enhanced payment gateway.

No fees will be charged for registration on the portal. Candidates can update their details free of cost and can update it later. They will have to make a payment only if they apply for admission.

The official also mentioned that they are trying to keep the admission process transparent after controversial allegations on colleges last year.

With admission process getting completely digital, it would be difficult for colleges to set their own rules during admissions, which had turned out to be a big allegation last year.

Getting strict over the admission process, the authority also proposed cancellation of admission for the candidate who tries to provide forged documents.

According to a report, an advisory will be issue to the colleges soon for uploading candidates name, roll number and 12th class marksheet on their web portals to ensure right candidates have got the admission.
