Karnataka CET result 2018 released: Get marks online at kea.kar.nic.in

Karnataka : The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has declared the results for the Common Entrance Test (CET) 2018 on June 1, 2018. The results are now available at the official website of the exam website http://kea.kar.nic.in, http://cet.kar.nic.in and http://karresults.nic.in

Shridhar Dodamani from Vijayapura district secured top position in engineering section, followed by Narayan Pai from Dakshina Kannada district. Tuhin Girinath ranked fourth and is the topper from Bengaluru. Aneeta James from Bengaluru holds fifth rank in CET engineering.

“The verification of documents will start from June 5 at 16 centres across the state”, said KEA. Both KEA and Directorate of Medical education will combined counselling of Medical and Engineering students such that both have sufficient options.

The government allowed additional chief secretary of department of medical education and principal secretary of department of higher education to make the announcement regarding counselling. Earlier, KEA official mentioned the authority has sent a proposal to the government to allow secretary in higher education department to declare the results, in the absence of a minister. Generally, the higher education minister announces the CET results.

This comes as a huge break to lakhs of students who took the test for engineering degrees in colleges in Karnataka. The test was held between April 18 and 20.

How to check Karnataka CET 2018 results online

Step 1: Log on to the official website - kea.kar.nic.in

Step 2: Click on KCET result link

Step 3: Enter your registration number

Step 4: Click on Submit

Step 5: Download the result and take a printout for future reference

Candidates will be evaluated on the basis of score and rank in KCET. The examination authority will conduct the counselling and seat allotment for admission to B.Tech programmvees across the participating institutes.
