New Delhi : In order to help student in Punjab with correct pronunciation of Punjabi language, the education department in the state has initiated a special project under 'Padho Punjab, Padhao Punjab. During the conversation with Punjab Education Minister Om Parkash Soni, he said due to linguistic diversity in the state, there is a lack of accuracy in students to speak and write standardised Punjabi.

Under the project 'Padho Punjab, Padhao Punjab' students will be trained with the help of recitation charts, card and learning materials.

During the teachers training workshops, teachers will be taught how they can focus on the accuracy by students, while they articulate language, and for this purpose, all the resource persons are required to first narrate Punjabi language noisily and then share the same method with primary school teachers, the spokesperson said.

The method is likely to help teachers to teach the students how to speak correct Punjabi language, on the other hand, written mistakes of the student will also be reduced, he said.
