Mumbai : PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday laid first brick for the construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya and soon after the ceremony was concluded, there were social media posts which claimed that Shah Rukh Khan will be donating Rs 5 crores for the construction of the temple.

Recently, the trust looking after the construction of the temple had publically asked people for donation with which the desired structure can be constructed as per plan.

Several social media users shared a picture of Shah Rukh Khan with Ram Temple proposed structure and text embedded that read - "Shah Rukh Khan Is Going To Donate 5 Cr. To Ram Mandir Trust For Making Ram Mandir".

A purported clipping of "Dainik Bhaskar", inserted in the graphics, attributes the information to Red Chillies Entertainment. The Hindi text in this box translates to, "A senior manager at Shah Rukh Khan's company Red Chillies Entertainment has said that Shah Rukh Khan has ordered them to donate Rs 5 crore for the Ram Mandir trust."

News Heads crosschecked the facts claimed in the image.

Since the image showed a report from Dainik Bhaskar, we searched the Dainik Bhaskar website and did not find any such report.

A report by India Today claimed that they contacted Red Chillies Entertainment and they also rejected the claim made in the post.

We also tried to find out such report with the help of keywords and could not find any confirmed report on the fact.

With this we can say that the said claim is false and so far there is no official announcement of donation from Shah Rukh Khan for Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
