Salman Khan's 'Loveratri' sparks anger amid VHP

Mumbai : Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) has reportedly been not happy with Salman Khan's upcoming movie 'Loveratri', the film marks debut of his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma. They claim that the film's title distort meaning of a Hindu festival.

"We will not allow its exhibition in cinema halls in the country. We don't want the sentiments of Hindus to be hurt," the international working president of the VHP, Alok Kumar, said, adding, "The film is set against the backdrop of Navratri, a Hindu festival, and the name distorts its meaning."

No comments have been received from the makers on the controversy. Only time will tell if they will chose to change the title of the film to appease the VHP or stick their ground.

Loveratri also mark the debut of Warina Hussain, a half-Iraqi and half-Afghan model who is best known for the Dairy Milk Silk commercial.

Loveratri has been scheduled to hit the screens on October 5, just a few days before the festival.
