Why should you watch Rani Mukerji's upcoming movie Hichki

New Delhi : After four years, Rani Mukerji made a comeback to the silver screen with Hichki. The movie casts Rani Mukerji as a school teacher Naina Mathur who suffers from Tourette syndrome. The film financed by Yash Raj Films and directed by Siddharth P Malhotra. It will be released on the cinema halls on March 23, 2018.

Rani's film title Hichki talks about life with ups and downs and a few hiccups. The film revolves around the story of Naina Mathur who converts her weakness into her biggest strength. She suffers from Tourette Syndrome which led her to see many failures. But, being strong at heart she accepts all rejections and finally she gets her dream job as a full-time teacher in one of the most elite schools in the city. She deals with students who poke fun at her condition and are not ready to accept her as their teacher.

Well, film is being inspired by the story of American motivational speaker and educator Brad Cohen, whose book Front of The Class was previously translated on the screen in 2008 American film Front of The Class.

So now, before the film strikes the theatre screens on March 23, let’s give you the reason to Hichki this weekend

1. It’s a comeback film of the beautiful Rani Mukerji after the birth of her daughter Adira.

2. In the trailer of the movie, she battles through the neuropsychiatric disorder called Tourette Syndrome which does not allow her to say a sentence properly. Despite all the odds she as Naina Mathur builds a healthy relationship with her students and becomes popular in the school. 

3. Rani’s role as a teacher portrays the emotional response of a determined teacher looks promising.

4. To recall, she has presented the life challenges of those with disabilities in 2005 film Black, Hichki will exhibit Rani’s back in the promising role.

5. Hichki will highlight the teacher-student relationship just the other Bollywood movies likeTaare Zameen Par, Chak De India, Iqbal and others.

6. The movie will bring inspirational story of a teacher’s relationship with her students. Viewers will get to see the love and respect of students towards their teacher who is suffering from speech impairment.

It is likely that Hichki disapprove the observation made my  Bollywood films like Jagga Jasoos and others . Writers Sidharth P Malhotra and Ankur Chaudhry have tried their level best to deal with the Tourette Syndrome sensibly and have presented the subject in a established manner.

The film says hiccups like speech defects are not permanent and do not affect a person to achieve success. Meaning, there is no permanent weakness which disallows human to perform hard work and dream job.

Before the movie releases in the theatres for public viewing, it was screened for the film fraternity. After watching the YRF project, everyone gave beautiful complements about it.

Urmila Matondkar said, “Hichki will leave you with a sweet smile, moist eyes and high spirits” and Madhuri Dixit broke down after watching the film. “Hichki is a moving and heart-warming film helmed by a brilliant story with a wonderful cast.

A strong content-driven film, very well-directed by Siddharth P Malhotra and of course another stupendous performance by Rani,” said Madhuri. Karan Johar, Anil Kapoor and Sushmita Sen too liked the movie and appreciated Rani’s performance in their film review.
