New Delhi : Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 is one of the costliest film ever made in the history of Indian Cinema. The major section of the budget has been invested on the VFX work of the movie.
Now, a report has claimed that the VFX work in the movie has consumed a budget of Rs 550 crores which is more than the double of Baahubali's entire budget which was less than Rs 200 crores.
In addition, it has been notified that this is the first Indian movie to be shot completely on a 3D camera.
The film faced numerous issues during post-production since the VFX artists couldn't deliver the expected output on time.
Producers had to pool in more money for the work and the monetary demand of the film exceeded the initial budget of 2.0 by a huge margin. Reportedly, about Rs 100 crore was added at the last minute to wrap up the post-production work.
The film also stars Amy Jackson as the female lead. Its songs have been composed by AR Rahman.
