Patna : 27 people were killed as a bus overturned and then caught fire in the Motihari district of Bihar. The bus was on its way to Delhi from Muzaffarpur.

According to media reports, it has been learned that the bus overturned while its driver tried to save a two-wheeler on National Highway 28 near Moga hotel in Kotwa.

A total of 32 passengers were on board when the bus lost its control, ending in a major accident. Only four passengers could have been rescued from the accident.

The injured passengers were rushed to Sadar Hospital for treatment, said Kotwa police station SHO Vijay Sinha.

The bus belongs to a private operator.
