Gurugram railway station to be connected with HUDA City Centre metro station

Gurugram : Aiming to provide better connectivity, the Haryana government has decided to link HUDA City Centre metro station and Gurugram railway station, officials said on Saturday.

This was disclosed at a high level meeting of the officers of central and state governments held in Chandigarh, which was presided over by Union Minister of State for Planning and Urban Development Rao Inderjit Singh and Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

According to the feasibility report prepared by the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC), the 17.11-km Metro corridor would connect HUDA City Centre with Gurugram railway station. The corridor will feature 15 stations and the project would be completed at a cost of Rs 3,739 crore. 

The union minister assured that he would try and get Haryana more funds for the developmental works through the National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB). It was decided to submit more proposals to the NCRPB, so that various developmental works could be undertaken.
