Kerala woman strangles son, burns body, dumps it near house
Kollam : A Kerala woman allegedly killed her 14 year old son, burnt his body and also dumped the remains near her house on Monday. One day after killing her son, she and her husband registered a complaint at police station in Kollam.
The cops did not take it long to understand that she was lying as there were many contradictions to the story she was telling.
The woman, Jaya, also could not explain why she had burn marks on her hand, news agency IANS said.
The cops launched a search operation and recovered remains of the body part near 200 meters from her house.
After strict interrogation, the woman finally confessed to her crime and then arrested by Kollam police, commissioner Dr A Sreenivas told NDTV.
Jaya reportedly told the police that she lost her temper when her son, Jithu Job, teased her over something. The exact nature of the provocation could not be ascertained immediately but her husband, according to IANS, told reporters that she was "mentally unstable".
"She also confessed that she dragged his body to the rear of her compound, burnt it and threw it across the wall. She then dragged the body from right outside the compound wall few metres away," Dr Sreenivas said.
