Supreme Court quashes demand of probe in Sridevi's death

New Delhi : Supreme Court on Friday rejected a demand of an investigation in to actor Sridevi's death. "We can't interfere with the probe," Chief Justice of India Dipak Misra told the petitioner, a filmmaker.

The filmmaker had approached Supreme Court after Delhi High Court had rejected his request.

54-year-old Sridevi had died in Dubai hotel due to "accidental drowning" on February 24 inside her suite.

According to forensic report by Dubai Police officials, she died in the bathtub after losing consciousness.

She had gone to Dubai to attend a family wedding.
