Rahul Gandhi hits out at PM Modi, says Make in India going in wrong direction

New Delhi : Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, who is on a two-week US tour, slammed Prime Minister Narendra Modi once again and claimed that 'Make in India' is moving in a wrong direction; claiming that India is still facing a huge deficiency in job opportunities.

He criticised Indian government for ignoring poor, education and healthcare.

“I liked the ‘Make in India’ concept but the targeting of ‘Make in India’ should be different. Large companies should have a role, yet small and medium-sized enterprises are where jobs come from. 30,000 youngsters are coming into the market daily. But only 400 jobs are being made. You can do the math,” the Gandhi scion said.

While making a comment over good governance, Mr Rahul Gandhi claimed that it can only be achieved with decentralisation of power, which remains to be a big hurdle in the country.

“The problem everywhere in India is the concentration of power. Good governance is about resisting centralisation of power,” the Congress leader said.

Rahul Gandhi drew a lot of attention with his speech at UC Berkeley where he criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and defended the dynasty politics, which forced the BJP to immediately hold a press conference and reply.
