Your saliva can detect your work pressure: Do you know

Mumbai : Strange but true, your saliva can speak the volume of stress you are taking in at your work. The saliva research conducted by Australian researchers concludes that the higher your stress level is the more is the level of coritsol in your swab. Cortisol is a hormone that fights stress and helps the body to fight against inflammation. 

When you take too much stress in your job, it starts affecting you physically, emotionally as well as mentally. Your confidence level may drop down and you are likely to question your capability and the value of your work. The competitive age increases the work load which is why almost all the people at one point in their careers feels stressed out. And, it is so surprising that your saliva can indicate your anxiety.

Experts say that the kind of test is more accurate than blood test. These preliminary tests use saliva as a means of indicating stress levels in your body can be considered more accurate than the blood tests which were developed earlier. In fact, the saliva testing may be 100 per cent accurate in sensing stress.

The study that carried out the path for this test was conducted by the Medical University of Vienna. Out of the 66 participants in the study, 40 were shown to have been exhausted.

Also, the study compares the morning results with evening results and came up with interesting findings. Before this, studies to map stress have often directed on morning readings. However, in this one, swabs of saliva were collected at various points during the day between 11:30 am and 12:30 pm. People who had higher scores of stress had increased levels at both the time period.
