Google has reportedly destroyed the ability of book Uber ride from inside Google Maps

New Delhi : Commuting here and there has become easy with the introduction of pre-paid cab services like Ola and Uber. While the travellers enjoy reasonable and comfortable rides, drivers can access any routes by using the ‘ Google Maps’. But now, Google has reportedly destroyed the ability of book Uber ride from inside Google Maps without giving any reason. The sudden unavailability of this service has created chaos among people.

It was in January 2017, when the feature launched to book Uber rides through Google Maps. Users could enter a location, identify their route, check Uber prices and request a ride without leaving the Maps app.

On one Google Maps Help page, Google simply says “you can no longer book Uber rides directly in Google Maps”, Android Police mentioned on Monday.

Uber integration was pulled from Google Maps on iOS earlier then on Android, according to the report.

Possibly the ability to book an Uber directly through Google Maps have led users to avoid the official Uber app. This might be the reason why booking Uber cab service is now not possible through Google Maps. However, no valid reason has been provided by the officials yet.

It is likely that Ola cab service providers will earn more money in this situation. Let’s wait and watch!
