New Delhi : Cricket is one of the popular sports, globally. In India, it is extremely popular among people of all age groups. In order to maintain the standards of the game, cricketers strive hard in terms of fitness and continue to play round the year. Therefore, it is obvious that the cricket players of team India earn huge money annually, according to their grades.

To inform all, the Board of Cricket Control in India (BCCI) is one of the richest cricketing boards around the world. Recently, BCCI has revised the salary for players and stars like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shikhar Dhawan and Jasprit Bumrah are the biggest gainers. Also, a new ‘Grade A+’ category was introduced to the ‘Annual Player Contracts’ for the players who represent the country in all the three formats of the game. To surprise fans, Virat Kohli alone gets as much salaries as the entire Pakistan team does not stand in front of him.

Whenever there is match between India and Pakistan (Ind vs Pak), fans start discussing many more things including the style of batting, balling and earnings of the players of both the teams, as well.

Virat Kohli of team India comes in the A Plus category by BCCI and under current contract, there is a payment of Rs. 7 crores annually for the players of this category. Rohit Sharma, who became the captain of the Indian team for the Asia Cup 2018, also comes in this category.

On the other hand, when the salary of all the players of the team is added, then in the Indian currency, the figure only meets six crores. Virat is almost 12 times ahead of the Pakistan team captain Sarfaraz Ahmed.

Besides Virat and Rohit, Shikhar Dhawan, Pacer Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jaspreet Bumra are also included in ‘Grade A+’ category. Meaning, they will be paid 7 crores per year. Dhawan had a ‘Grade-C’ contract on Rs 50 lakhs, last year.

Hence, it is clear that in the case of earnings, the entire Pakistani team does not match anywhere in front of the Indian cricket players. Now, let’s see what the cricket field has to say!
