Jio GigaFiber plans: How to registrations for the Reliance Jio GigaFiber broadband Service

New Delhi : Reliance Jio GigaFiber broadband plans: Mukesh Ambani owned Reliance Jio is making its debut in the broadband service with its optical fiber-based Jio GigaFiber broadband service on August 15. The registration for Jio GigaFiber starts from the Indian Independence Day.

The registration can be done via MyJio app or from Jio.com. The registration is free and the total cost of the Jio broadband scheme could be around Rs 4500 at the time of installation which will be refundable in case you want to discontinue the service.

Jio plans to go for a commercial rollout of the GigaFiber service before November 7 in the metros and around 80 top tier 1 and 2 markets this year. While the registration process starts on August 15, the availability of the service will depend on the number of registrations.

While there are lots of rumours about the price of the Jio broadband plans, a close source confirms that the price of the GigaFiber broadband would be lowest of all current 4G data rates for per GB available in the country. The price of Jio GigaFiber plans could start from as low as Rs 500.

Jio broadband plans may be available in three categories:

Jio GigaFiber Speed-based plans, Jio GigaFiber volume-based plans, and Jio GigaFiber special broadband plan. The Jio GigaFiber speed-based plans could start from Rs 500 and go till Rs 5500.

The Jio GigaFiber volume-based plans could start from 5GB to 60GB daily. The Jio GigaFiber special broadband plans could be available at Rs 500, Rs 800 and Rs 1000.

Jio GigaFiber will come with two services, namely, Jio GigaFiber router and the Jio GigaTV Set-top box. The GigaFiber router can be used for running internet services on multiple devices at 1Gbps speed while the set-top box is for your television services. Jio broadband service will also allow users to make video calls through television.

How Jio GigaFiber broadband registrations work

• To register for Jio GigaFiber, go on the official Jio website’s GigaFiber page
• Here, enter your address by pressing the Change button. After you enter your address and hit the Submit button, the screen will still show the default address. Nonetheless, select whether the address you have entered is your home or work address.
• On the next page, enter your name and phone number, and hit the Generate OTP button
• Enter the OTP and select the type of locality (Society, Township, Developer, etc) and click on Submit
