Washington : Stormy Daniels, an adult movie star, has offered to repay 130K dollar to the United States of America Donald Trump to buy her way out from a contract that prohibits her from discussing her decade-old affair.
The offer had been made in a letter sent to Donald Trump's lawyer Michael Cohen, who has said he used his own funds to "facilitate" a payment of the same amount to Daniels days before the 2016 election.
Cohen also clarified that neither Trump Organisation nor Donald Trump reimbursed him for the payment. Even the agreement was signed by him and Daniels.
In an apparent effort to link him directly to the deal, Daniels offered to "pay $130,000.00 to President Trump" by Friday. The letter says the offer will be withdrawn if it is not accepted by noon on Tuesday.
No response has come so far from the White House so far.
Daniels had sued Donald Trump last week for not signing the nondisclosure agreement.
She said in the letter Monday that she seeks to "speak openly and freely about her prior relationship with the president and the attempts to silence her."
On Monday, Daniels joked on Twitter about how she would return the money: "I have toyed with delivering it gangsta style via private jet and cash in a gold suitcase. Alas I don't have a jet or gold suitcase. Suddenly I feel the urge to start rocking a giant diamond lightning bolt on a chain. (I'm kidding ... mostly)."
