Here's what is happening to the Thai Spa services due to COVID-19 outbreak and social distancing norms

New Delhi : The world around us is changing, more so since the global outbreak of coronavirus. This deadly and highly contagious virus has stirred up trouble all around us. Coronavirus or COVID-19 has an incubation period of 14 days which makes it very tough to do contact tracing and figure the source. Because coronavirus has no cure or vaccine, it has become an even bigger threat. Our only protection against this virus are masks, hand sanitizers and social distancing. The lockdown in most countries has led to an economic problem as well but we can't stay stuck inside our homes for forever. We have to eventually step out and take risks no matter what but there are some services and business which are tough to run with the social distancing standards. Thai Spa and massages were one of the most popular luxury remedies that people turn to when they want a relaxing time and de-stress.

Considering that COVID-19 is a highly contagious virus, this makes it very difficult for everyone involved. This makes human touch a bigger risk in a time like this when the world is battling with a major health crisis. COVID-19 is bringing around major changes in nearly every community and in the way that humans interact. Our sanitization practices are also changing and are stricter for all of our sakes. Most spas and salons are now spending a bomb on obtaining ultraviolet disinfecting machines which can clean everything thoroughly. They are also stocking up on cleaning supplies and protective gears like masks and gloves and whatnot. But even after spending so much the number of customers who are coming in are a lot lesser which has made it very difficult for spas and salons to survive this pandemic.

The beauty and wellness industry has taken a big hit due to the global coronavirus pandemic and it has also had a major economic impact on them as well. People have lost their jobs due to lack of funding and profits. The tough part is that the traditional Thai masseuses undergo tough and thorough training and their job is labour-intensive. This makes it very difficult for them to switch jobs and find a job that is not in a spa or massage parlour. And this is just the situation in India, Thailand, on the other hand, has a large beauty and wellness tourism industry that helps them generate a major chunk of their income and the same has been impacted on a large-scale level.
