Anti-Corruption Branch registers FIR against Swati Maliwal over DCW recruitment scam

New Delhi : The Anti-Corruption Branch of the Delhi government filed a case against Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal, over recruitment scam here on Tuesday.

According to ACB chief Mukesh Kumar Meena, “A case was registered against Maliwal as irregularities were find in the DCW recruitment".

It may be mentioned here that Swati Maliwal was booked under Sections 13 (Criminal misconduct by a public servant) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 409 (Criminal breach of trust by public servant) and 120-B (criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) on Monday night.

While on Monday, the ACB had questioned Maliwal for over two hours.

Highlights:

# ACB had sent a notice last week to Maliwal informing that she would be questioned on September 19.

# ACB took the matter on a complaint by former DCW chief Barkha Shukla Singh, who complaint that several AAP supporters were given plum posts in the women’s panel.

# Barkha Shukla in her complaint, listed names of 85 people who got jobs without required credentials.

 

# Maliwal had rubbished the allegations against her.
