IPL 2020: Mumbai Indians reach final after thumping win over Delhi Capitals

Abu Dhabi : Mumbai Indians are now just one game away from the IPL 13 trophy, Rohit Sharma's battalion booked the final berth on Thursday after beating Delhi Capitals in the quarter final game. After the 57-run rout, Delhi will now have to wait for Sunday, when they will meet the winner of Friday’s eliminator to make their maiden final.

Despite no major contribution from players like Rohit Sharma and Kieron Pollard, the Mumbai Indians smashed Delhi Capitals bowlers for brilliant 200 runs in just 20 overs.

Not just with the bat, bowlers rattled top order of Delhi Capitals. Trent Boult and Jasprit Bumrah blew away the Capitals top-order within the first eight balls of the chase. With DC’s score at zero for three, the contest was as good as over.

Delhi’s R Ashwin was the only player to challenge MI with an excellent performance of three wickets for 29 runs.

Due to the interesting format of the tournament, Delhi Capitals, despite the fact of losing the game, will get another chance of playing the final. They will face the winner of SRH vs RCB quarterfinal on Sunday.
