New Delhi : Air India on Thursday released its new logo and uniforms as the airlines is moving forward in its transformative journey since it was taken over by the Tata Group. The iconic window shape used by Air India has been changed to a gold window frame that becomes central to the new brand design system.

According to a release, the new gold window frame symbolises a 'Window of Possibilities'. Air India's new logo symbol 'The Vista' is inspired by the peak of the gold window frame, signifying limitless possibilities, progressiveness, and the airline’s bold, confident outlook for the future, the company said in its release.

The airline has unveiled a fresh aircraft livery and design, characterized by a rich palette of deep red, aubergine, and accents of gold, along with a pattern inspired by the chakra. The press release highlighted that the new design also introduces a custom-designed typeface called 'Air India Sans.'

The new brand identity has been designed in collaboration with the brand transformation experts at FutureBrand. Commencing from December 2023, travellers will get to see the new logo during their journey, coinciding with the introduction of the airline's inaugural A350 aircraft into its fleet adorned in the refreshed livery, as stated by the airline.

Tata Group had took over the loss-making Air India in January 2022.
