JioCinema slashes subscription prices for premium content, IPL to remain free

New Delhi : JioCinema has reduced prices for subscriptions to its premium content, including Hollywood movies and TV shows; the monthly subscription starts from Rs 29 per month.

Their previous subscription cost Rs 99 per month or Rs 999 annually, allowing streaming on up to four devices at once. However, this plan included ads.

"With 4K streaming, best-in-class audio, offline viewing and no-device restrictions, the reduced prices will allow access to high-quality entertainment for all viewers," Viacom18 Digital CEO Kiran Mani was quoted in a news report.

Under the subscription, online and offline viewing of foreign movies, TV series, and kids programming on any device in five languages.

The plans, effective immediately, offer ad-free content and access to exclusive series, movies, Hollywood, kids and TV entertainment on any device, including connected TVs, the company has said. 

The family plan is being offered by the company at Rs 89 per month with an additional benefit of four simultaneous screens. Meanwhile, existing customers will get the benefit at no extra cost.
