Karni Sena Chief shot dead at his Jaipur house, video on CCTV

New : Sukhdev Singh Gogamed, Chief of Karni Sena, was shot dead at his residence in Jaipur. The assailants were first seen having tea with him then open fired at him from close range. According to reports, Gogamed was shot at least five times.

The chilling video of the incident was recorded on CCTV camera. In the video, Sukhdev Singh Gogamed was looking at his mobile phone when a man sitting opposite to him stood up with a gun and fired a couple of shots. One of his guards tried to rescue the leader, but failed. The 20-second footage shows man continuously firing at Gogamed even after he stopped moving.

Interestingly, the attackers sat with Sukhdev Singh Gogamed for at least 10 minutes, enjoyed tea before executing the assassination.

As per media reports, the incident took place around 12.30 pm. Gogamedi and two of his associates sustained injuries and were rushed to a hospital, where the prominent Rajput leader was declared dead. One of the attackers, who was not seen in the CCTV video, has also been killed in the crossfire.

Meanwhile, a member of the Goldy Brar gang has claimed responsibility for the murder. "We take full responsibility for Sukhdev Gogamedi's murder," Rohit Godara Kapurisr wrote in a Facebook post. He claimed Gogamedi "used to support our enemies" and that prompted the attack.

The investigations in the matter have been initiated and the police will be submitting their report soon on the matter.
