New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared his first reaction over Parliament security breach and said that this is a very serious matter and cannot be underestimated.

In an interview with Hindi daily 'Dainik Jagran', published on Sunday, PM Modi was quoted as saying that the agencies have initiated a probe in the matter and will be taking stringent measures, mentioning that it is important to go to the roots of the matter and understand the real motive behind it.

Earlier, PM Narendra Modi had called for a detailed investigation into the Parliament security breach.

"What happened is very serious," PM Modi said in his first comments on Wednesday's breach. "There is no need to debate this, there should be a detailed investigation into this.

“Investigative agencies are probing rigorously. It is important to know who all are behind this and what plans they have. We should also seek solutions with a single mind. Everyone should refrain from debate, controversy, or resistance on such matters," PM Modi added.

In a major security breach at the new building of Parliament, two men - Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D – jumped inside Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery during Zero Hour, released yellow smoke from canisters and shouted slogans, before being overpowered by the MPs.

At the same time, two other men - Amol Shinde and Neelam Devi – released coloured smoke outside Parliament premises.
