New Delhi : Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who is believed to be the main reason behind Nitish Kumar's exit from INDIA bloc, took a jab on the Bihar Chief Minister and mocked him for his frequent visits to the Governor House.

Rahul Gandhi said that the opposition does not need Nitish Kumar because he is easily swayed by pressure and often changes his stance.

Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar allegedly joined hands with Bharatiya Janata Party after he was allegedly furious over a comment of Rahul Gandhi at a meeting of the Opposition on January 13.

Nitish Kumar expressed his desire to be the coordinator of the INDIA bloc, but Rahul Gandhi suggested that he consult with Mamata Banerjee instead. This angered Mr Kumar, who abruptly left the meeting ten minutes early. Despite being appointed as the convenor shortly afterward, Nitish Kumar refused the position, having already decided to ally with another party.

Interestingly, Rahul Gandhi has now poked fun on Nitish Kumar, narrating a joke on how latter went to collect his shawl after oath ceremony.

"The Governor was astonished to see Nitish Kumar return so quickly," Mr. Gandhi remarked amidst laughter from the crowd. "Nitish ji is like that. He buckles under a little pressure," he added.

Nitish Kumar took oath as Bihar Chief Minister for the record ninth time on Sunday after making an alliance with BJP lead NDA in the state.
