New Delhi : Congress and Bharat Rashtra Samithi presented a no-confidence motion against the government in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. After which, a five-year old video of PM Narendra Modi started trending on social media where he can be seen humorously predicting the same situation.

In the video, Hon'ble PM Narendra Modi can be seen encouraging the opposition to be prepared for a no-confidence motion in 2023, which garnered laughter from the Lok Sabha members. The remarks from the Hon'ble PM were made back in 2018, shortly after the NDA secured a strong majority in the trust vote, receiving 314 votes.

At that time, the no-confidence vote was initiated by the Telugu Desam Party and garnered support from various parties that were then in the opposition. The trust vote was permitted by Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan.

"I extend my best wishes and hope that you prepare well so that in 2023, you get another opportunity to bring a no-confidence motion," Hon’ble PM Modi said in the video.
