Swine Flu cases cross 7,000-mark in Tamil Nadu, 415 deaths
Chennai : Despite several claims made by government over the control on rise of Swine Flu disease, 62 new cases were registered in Tamil Nadu, taking the whole count of cases above 7,000 this year.
The death toll also rose to 415 with another three people succumbing to swine flu in the state.
The government on the contrary claims that they are working well in the area and the number of Swine Flu cases has shown a sharp decline.
"As many as 1,848 patients have been cured in the past 15 days. As of now, 6,150 patients have been discharged from the hospital," said a state government statement.
The state has recorded 1,750 deaths and 17,970 cases from 2009 with mortality rate of 9.74.
