10 terrorists killed by Army during infiltration bids in Jammu & Kashmir, 1 soldier injured

New Delhi : Ten terrorists were killed during two infiltration bids which were foiled by the Army across the Line of Control on Tuesday. While one jawan was injured in a separate encounter in Naugam.

It may be mentioned here that earlier in the day, Pakistan opened fire at Indian posts along the Line of Control in Uri sector, mere two days after the terror attack which claimed lives of 17 security personnel.

On Sunday, Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists attacked an army camp in Uri, killing 17 soldiers and injuring around 20, in a suicide attack. Four terrorists who attacked the camp were gunned down by the army.

Highlights:

# India blamed Pakistan for the act and the Army has come down heavily on Islamabad, saying it will 'give a befitting response'.

# Pakistan has denied all allegations even as India claimed to have plenty of evidence to support its claim.

# Pervez Musharraf has warned India that Islamabad will strike at a time and place of its choosing if Delhi resorted to any military retaliation to the Uri attack.

# The bodies of the four militants killed in the Uri terror attack were buried, apparently to prevent public sympathy for them.
