India-Pakistan match has always been a rivalry: Babar Azam

New Delhi : Pakistan skipper Babar Azam spoke about the famous India vs Pakistan battles ahead of the Asian Games 2023, where two teams will face each other for one more time. The blockbuster clash is scheduled to take place on September 02, 2023.

Babar Azam's remarks came during an interview on Star Sports. In the interview, he mentioned that the matches between India and Pakistan have always been a rivalry and whole world loves to watch the energy between the two teams. As a player, we also enjoy it a lot.

"The rivalry between India and Pakistan in cricket has consistently remained intense. People all around the globe witness and derive pleasure from this match, and we ourselves enjoy the game a lot. I hold the opinion that the cricket played is of exceptionally high quality and competitiveness. The absence of the India-Pakistan match is felt by fans, and both teams consistently put forth their utmost effort," Babar expressed during the interview.

In Group A, Pakistan finds themselves alongside India and Nepal. They commence their journey by facing Nepal on September 30th, followed by a match against arch-rivals India on September 2nd.

With an eye on the 1992 World Champions, the team has introduced a couple of new changes. Saud Shakeel and Tayyab Tahir have been included as traveling reserves.
