This is why people are queuing outside McDonald's in Russia

Moscow : People have been seen queuing outside McDonald's stores in Russia to get their meals; and they are doing so to ensure they have their favourite food before it disappears from the nation.

In contrast to Ukraine invasion, American companies have been boycotting their operations in Russia; similarly, McDonald’s has announced that from the next week they will temporarily shut down the operations in Russia.

Meanwhile, it has been reported that the company will continue to pay the wages of its 60,000 plus employees till further notice.

The announcement came after McDonald's was being criticized for not halting their operations amid international outrage against Russia over invasion in Ukraine.

After the announcement, people went and stood in long queues thinking this could be their last meal at the outlets till it reopens in Russia.
