Delhi : The Rumion MPV was introduced by Toyota Kirloskar Motor in India with an initial list price of Rs. 10.29 lakh, ex-showroom. The Rumion, which is based on the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga, will be offered in six variations, with reservations beginning at a low price of Rs 11,000 each. The automobile should start to be delivered starting on September 8, 2023.

This seven-seater MPV is powered by a 1.5-liter K Series petrol engine that generates 102.4 horsepower and 137 Nm of torque. It is offered with both a 6-speed automatic and a 5-speed manual transmission. There is also a petrol plus CNG option for the Rumion. The CNG version generates peak torque of 121.5 Nm and 87.83 horsepower.

The Rumion MPV's claimed fuel efficiency of 20.51 km/l for the petrol model and 26.11 km/kg for the CNG variant is another significant selling point. Overall, the Rumion has a similar appearance to the Ertiga, save for a modified bumper with trapezoidal fog lamp holders and a redesigned grille with a chrome finish like that of the Innova Crysta.

When it comes to features, the top-tier Rumion variant has a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an analog instrument cluster with a digital MID, automatic air conditioning, connected technologies, 4 airbags, ABS with EBD, ESP, and more. It also has automatic climate control. The Rumion MPV will compete with its own brother, the Maruti Ertiga, as well as with the entry-level Kia Carens models.
