Renault to launch Duster 153 BHP 1.3L turbo petrol version next month

New Delhi : Renault India had showcased their turbocharged lineup of vehicles in the auto expo last month. Now, it has been learned that the 1.3-litre turbocharged petrol engine units will debut in India markets by next month.

The petrol four-cylinder mill is tuned to produce a maximum power output of 153 bhp and 250 Nm.

Surprisingly, the engine produces massive 48 BHP and 108 Nm more than the old outgoing engine 1.5-litre K9K engine that has been tuned according to six-speed transmission. A CVT version will also be provided in the top-spec variants of the car.

Recently, the carmaker had released the facelift version of the car in the Indian market. It features revised front grille, a set of new headlamps with LED Daytime Running Lights, LED tail lamps and other bodily changes.

While the popularity of the car has shown decline in recent times, the new engine may come as a game-changer for the carmakers.
