No GST hike on textiles for now

New Delhi : The GST Council has unanimously decided not to increase the tax from 5 per cent to 12 per cent. The matter will be decided in the next GST Council meet.

The GST rate hike on textiles from 5 percent to 12 percent was to come into effect from January 1.
