Prof. Lalit Agrawal Receives International Letter of Appreciation in South Korea for ‘peace education'
New Delhi : The MERI Group of Institutions received international recognition when its Vice President, Prof. Lalit Agrawal, was awarded the International Letter of Appreciation for his contributions to the Economics of Peace program. The award was presented to him on 18 September at the prestigious HWPL Peace Conference held in Seoul, South Korea, attended by leaders from across the world.
The honor underscores MERI Group’s commitment to the Economics of Peace program through education. Prof. Agrawal’s recognition reinforces the institution’s vision of promoting peace and harmony, while highlighting MERI Group’s role as a significant contributor to peace-building on the global stage.
The 11th Anniversary of the HWPL World Peace Summit was held on 18 September 2025 in Seoul, South Korea, as well as in multiple regions worldwide. The event reflected on the achievements of peace agreements since the 2014 HWPL Summit and outlined future initiatives. The anniversary focused on creating essential networks to promote and strengthen peace, encouraging collaboration through regional programs across the world. HWPL (Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light) advocates for sustainable peace by engaging governments, intergovernmental organizations, and civil society under a multidimensional strategy to resolve conflicts and establish lasting peace globally.
