Guru Kashi University (GKU) hosted two-day International Conference; MoU signed with Friends University, USA

New Delhi : Guru Kashi University (GKU), Talwandi Sabo, successfully hosted a two-day international conference organized by the Faculty of Computing. The event was attended by participants from Friends University (USA), Dhaka International University (Bangladesh), Kathmandu University (Nepal), Gambella University (Ethiopia), along with researchers and students from 23 countries and 11 Indian states.

The conference was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr.) Madan Mohan Goel, former Vice Chancellor of Jagannath University, Jaipur. In his address, he said, "Technology must be guided by human values and used for the good of society. If applied wisely, it can benefit every section of the community."

On this occasion, Guru Kashi University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Friends University (USA) to strengthen academic and research collaboration. This partnership will support joint projects, exchange programs, and educational innovation between the two institutions.

Chancellor S. Gurlabh Singh Sidhu said, "Our university is committed to offering world-class education and preparing students with the skills needed for tomorrow's world."

Vice Chancellor Dr. Rameshwar Singh said, "Technology now touches every part of human life. If we use it with care and wisdom, it can create new opportunities for growth and employment."

Speaking at the event, Dr. Bhargav from Friends University (USA) remarked, "Technology, like any powerful tool, can either be a blessing or a challenge depending on how it is used."

The conference also included competitions where students presented innovative projects and creative posters. Guru Kashi University students won first prize for their innovative robotic model, which was specially appreciated by guests from Friends University.

In the school-level competitions, Sanskar School (Talwandi Sabo) secured the first position, followed by Ananya Gupta from Silver Oaks School (Bathinda) in second place, and Rabab Sidhu in third place. In a separate category focused on "Education and Technology," Sanskar School again won first prize, with Arshpreet Kaur and Manpreet Kaur coming second and third.

As part of the event, the 28-member International Advisory Board also laid the groundwork for the upcoming International Conference 2025, opening new doors of achievement for Guru Kashi University.
