Samvaad: Vikalp meets govt, NGO officials for more development opportunities in Jharkhand

Ranchi : After two days of tireless sweats, 'Vikalp…Searching Together-Learning Together' entered its Day 3 of four-day event – 'Samvaad'. Meeting with members of government and non-government official in Gumla district rationalised the day with their on-field experiences.

Team Vikalp, headed by Pooja Akshay and Keertiwas, discussed 'child welfare' initiatives with the members to churn out main problems which they concluded as child trafficking, child education, poverty, illiteracy etc. 

A discussion over the cause and potential solutions with the help of ICT and other sources were also shared during the course of the meeting.

Vikalp team then visited 'Vikas Bharti' (An NGO working with the most backward and under privileged communities in all 24 districts of Jharkhand for last 34 years) in Bishunpur to meet and discuss their ideology and upcoming initiatives with the joint secretary KK Pandey and Padma Shri Ashok Bhagat, who is also the founder of Vikas Bharti.

Mr Ashok Bhagat shared his thoughts and views over the difficulties and his approach to work for the welfare of tribal people. He also shared some valuable tips for Vikalp's initiatives along with joining hands for its upcoming interventions or programmes.
