New Delhi : The University Grants Commission (UGC) on Tuesday announced that a student can enroll for two full-time courses simultaneously in physical mode. The guidelines in this respect will be announced on the official website on April 13, 2022.

Earlier, a student was allowed to pursue one full-time course and other online course simultaneously.

The new guidelines will be applicable on all the courses available across the nation, under condition that the student must be eligible to pursue them.

The students will be allowed to choose a combination of a diploma programme and an undergraduate (UG) degree, two master’s programmes, or two bachelor’s programmes.

The eligibility criteria under the new guidelines will remain unchanged and the admissions will be done on the basis of existing UGC conditions.

Since all academic programmes have minimum attendance requirements for students to be able to take the exams, universities will have to devise the attendance criteria for these courses.
