UPSC Civil Services Prelims Exam 2019 to be held on this date: Check details here

New Delhi : The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released notification for Civil Services Preliminary examination 2019. According to the notice, the civil services preliminary exam 2019 will be held on June 2 and the main exam will be conducted on September 20.

The civil services exam is conducted to fill vacancies in the field Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and other central services.

The UPSC recruitment is conducted in accordance with the rules published by the Department of Personnel and Training in the Gazette of India extraordinary. This year, the civil services preliminary exam 2018 has been held on June 3 across the country.

Last date of UPSC Civil Service Exam 2019

UPSC conducts the Civil Services Examination (CSE), popularly known as IAS (Indian Administrative Service) exam, in two phases namely- UPSC Prelims and UPSC Mains.

The exam comprises of objective-type questions, while the questions asked in mains need descriptive and essay-type answering. The selection of candidates is done on the basis of performance in the written test.

Last date to apply for UPSC Civil Service exam is March 18, 2019.
