For PM Narendra Modi and India, Aamir Khan ready to take losses on 'Dangal'

New Delhi : When it comes to showing patriotism, Aamir Khan never steps back. This time he is supporting PM Narendra Modi’s demonetisation scheme in a unique and interesting way.

Supporting Centre’s decision to ban Rs 500 and Rs 1000 currency, the actor said that people should ignore short term hardships and support the decision for a better future.

"I do not have money lying with me so I was not affected by the move at all. Fortunately, I pay all my taxes, and thus I remain unaffected," Aamir said at the song launch of film "Dangal"

"Even if my film suffers a loss because of this, it would be a small thing," the actor added.

‘Dangal’ is based on the life of of Haryana wrestler Mahavir Singh Phogat, played by Aamir.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 8 announced that Indian currency notes of Rs 500 and Rs 1000 will not be legal tender to fight against black money and corruption.
